Mara and CJ’s Wedding – New Berlin Hills Golf Course

Mara and CJ were married at Holy Apostles church in New Berlin with a reception following at the New Berlin Hills Golf Course. We stopped over at Greenfield Park for some photos of the bridal party between the ceremony and the reception. I am so glad we did because that is where some of my favorite pictures were taken.

My favorite thing about Mara and CJ’s wedding were the smiles. Oh my goodness! As I did a quick look through of my photos I noticed that there are so many happy, smiling photos of everyone. It was a day filled with so much fun and laughter. I know these two will have many years of joy together.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Congratulations Mara and CJ!!

Mark and Carol’s Wedding Vow Renewal – Hartford

Mark and Carol renewed their wedding vows on Saturday, June 18th at the First United Methodist Church in Hartford. They couldn’t have asked for better weather on their special day. It was so beautiful outside it kind of made me wish the ceremony was outdoors. I have never shot a wedding vow renewal before so it was something new and different for me. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Bride and groom kiss while kids cover their eyes

Congratulations Mark and Carol on your 31st wedding anniversary and your beautiful vow renewal.

Jessie and Ryan’s Wedding – The Loft, Waukesha

Jessica and Ryan were married at the Loft in Waukesha on Friday, May 13, 2022. It was one of the warmest May weddings I have shot in a long time – but I am not complaining at all. I will take that over the cold any day! The ceremony was indoors so everyone was comfortable, but family photos after were outside and they turned out great!

My favorite part of Jessie and Ryan’s wedding was their vows. They wrote their own vows and they really showed how great of a relationship they have. The first picture below shows the pinky swear that they made during the vows.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Congratulations Ryan and Jessie!

Katie and Josh’s Wedding – Silver Spring Country Club – Menomonee Falls

Katie and Josh were married on May 6, 2022 at the Silver Spring Country Club in Menomonee Falls. We were concerned about the rain all week but it ended up to be a nice day. It was a relief because the couple had a few challenges to overcome throughout the day – weather was just one of them. They made the best of every curveball that was thrown at them and I applaud them for that.

My favorite part of the day was probably the Backstreet Boys being blasted while the girls were getting ready. It was fun and it made me laugh. I also loved when we ventured out on golf carts on the golf course to take bridal party photos. It was just Josh and Katie in the seat behind me of the golf cart and I could hear them chatting about the challenges of the day. Josh was telling Katie there’s nothing to worry about because she looked beautiful. It was very sweet and sincere and I loved that.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Congratulations Katie and Josh! I hope you had a wonderful wedding day!!

Brandon and Colleen’s Wedding – St. James Catholic Church, Hartland

Brandon and Colleen were married on November 27, 2021 at Saint Charles Catholic Church in Hartland. The weather was cold but still a very nice day for a wedding in November in Wisconsin. The snow even stayed away for us.

As you know, I always tell my favorite part of a wedding day when I post my blog. I really love shooting at the Delafield Hotel because it is a beautiful location, so I really enjoyed the photos in the bell tower. But there was a special moment that I caught during the ceremony that would be the best part of the day by far. During the ceremony I watched Brandon blow a kiss to his grandma. It was super sweet and it made me wish my grandma had made it to my wedding day. So glad grandma was there for Brandon and Colleen!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from our photo shoot.

Matt and Molly’s Wedding – Grace Evangelical Waukesha

Matt and Molly were married on October 30, 2021 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha. They couldn’t have asked for better weather for an October wedding in Wisconsin. It was a tiny bit chilly but not bad at all considering I have seen snow on weddings during October in the past.

As you know, I always tell my favorite part of a wedding day when I post my blog. Well this one takes the cake for sure. My favorite moment at their wedding was when the father of the bride found the grooms wedding band that I had lost. Yes….I lost it. I went to take pictures of the wedding bands out on a bench in a garden outside of the church and when I got up, they fell, hit the bench and bounced. Luckily I found the brides ring right away but the grooms wanted to play some hide and seek I guess. I knew it couldn’t be far but I also didn’t want to be out in the yard of the church at 8pm that night with my flashlight. Anyway, shortly after the ceremony, the father of the bride found the ring. YAY!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from our photo shoot.

Congratulations on your wedding Molly and Matt and thank you for your understanding of my gigantic mistake. I’m glad you have a story to tell about your wedding day though. :).

Josh and Heather’s Wedding – Waukesha Rotary Building

Heather and Josh were married at the Rotary Building in Waukesha on October 31, 2020. The location was beautiful for a small wedding. The river in the background, a few leaves still left on the trees, and the sun was shining. Couldn’t have asked for much more for a 2020 Covid wedding, right?

My favorite part of Heather and Josh’s wedding was the time in between pictures and dinner. Normally I really don’t like that time of day because time seems to drag for me. But for Heather and Josh, nothing ran as scheduled and we made the most of it. They agreed last minute to have music and some dancing before dinner which is not traditional. But being flexible and going with the flow was what made that time period fun. People were dancing, the cake got cut and lots of good conversation was had. It was a perfectly imperfect night.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day.

Congratulations on your wedding Heather and Josh. You were a joy to shoot! Enjoy your photos!

Teonna and Aaron’s Wedding Day Take 2- Reception in Hustisford, Wi

Wedding day number two for Aaron and Teonna went off without any issues and I couldn’t be happier for them. The reception was held in their backyard with a very casual celebration that was very perfectly “them”. The weather was HOT but that did not stop anyone from having a good time.

My favorite part of Aaron and Teonna’s reception was the special dances. First dance – mother/son – father/daughter. Each dance really showed off the personalities of the bride and groom. I loved watching Aaron dance with his mom. The song was called “Don’t throw out my Legos”. I had never heard it before but it made me laugh and I totally looked it up when I got home. I was surprised to see that it was sung by a band that I already have on a playlist. I wonder if I’ll hear that one again at a wedding in the future. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day.

Congratulations on your wedding Teonna and Aaron. Enjoy your photos!

Andy and Angie’s Wedding – Thunder Bay Grille in Pewaukee

If there is one thing I have learned from the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s that you have to be flexible in life. And when things are important, you find away to make it happen. Angie and Andy learned that lesson as well and found a way to make a beautiful wedding day happen – even with some obstacles.

I did not even meet Angie until after the wedding ceremony because my booking with them was very last minute. They have hit challenge upon challenge since their original wedding date in May. But they made it happen, and it was wonderful!

My favorite part of their wedding day? Metallica during the ceremony – for sure! That was amazing. It showed just how unique and personalized the wedding was. It was small, but it was definitely very “them”!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day.

Congratulations on your wedding Andy and Angie. Enjoy your photos!
