Jessica and Jon were married at the Seven Seas in Hartland last Saturday. Being a wedding photographer I get a backstage pass to many weddings. I observe many things, both good and bad, throughout every wedding day. When I arrived at Jessica and Jon’s wedding the focus was definitely on the terrible weather. The weather this day was not bad….it was terrible. It was about 35 degrees, raining and windy. Jessica and Jon had planned on an outdoor wedding but had to change their plans. I arrived early to take a few shots with the groom before the ceremony. He was obviously shaken by the disappointment of the weather.
My most memorable observation of Jessica and Jon’s wedding day was watching Jon after he was finally joined with his bride. He was so stressed and upset by things not going exactly as planned that day. But Jessica walked down the aisle and met Jon to hold his hand and I could see a calm fall over him. I could see all of that stress and disappointment in the weather just melt away. I think everyone in the room could just feel that these two people were meant to be together.
Congratulations Jessica and Jon. Enjoy your photos!
